Simple steps for your infrared setup. Allow extra time for your first assembly and read the full manual before use.
01Choose your space
Start on a dry, level surface with room to open the sauna and enter and exit comfortably. Keep the sauna protected from water and weather.

Open each wall, push the roof into position and fit the two internal door-frame poles. Check that the entrance opens freely.

03Fit the infrared panels
With power disconnected, secure all eight panels to their Velcro positions. Connect the matching connectors without forcing them.

04Connect the controller
Attach the digital controller at its side mounting point. Keep cables clear of the doorway, with slack and no trapped or pinched leads.

05Add your kit extras
Plus and Retreat: attach the roof-mounted red light and add the SweatLock mat. The red light has its own separate switch.

06Warm up. Wind down. Pack away.
Allow approximately 20 minutes to preheat. After use, disconnect power and let everything cool. Remove all panels before folding the enclosure.

All three include the same eight-panel infrared heating system, two-person tent, controller, two portable seats and carry bag. Plus adds a roof-mounted red light and SweatLock floor mat. Retreat adds a weather-resistant outdoor cover, foldable cedar bench, bamboo rollout mat and two sauna hats to the Plus kit.
Is red light included in the standard Silva Box?
Red light is included with Plus and Retreat. The standard Silva Box includes the infrared heating system. Red light and infrared heating are separate systems with separate controls.
How much room will I need?
The enclosure has a 1.4 m × 1.4 m footprint and is 1.6 m high, with a 2.0 m diagonal across the floor. Allow additional space to assemble it and get in and out comfortably.
How long does setup and warm-up take?
The owner’s manual allows approximately five minutes for assembly once familiar and approximately 20 minutes for preheating. Take your time on the first setup. Warm-up time depends on the surrounding temperature and location.
Can I leave it outside?
The sauna contains mains-powered electrical components. Keep the sauna and its electrical components protected from water and weather at all times. Use a dry, level location and store everything cool and dry.
How do I pack it away?
Switch off, disconnect power and allow everything to cool. Remove all eight panels, the controller and any red light before collapsing the enclosure. Pair the panels Velcro-to-Velcro to protect the mesh, then store the parts dry.
